New Poll!

Still reliving the Kevin '07 victory? Gripped by the Democrat race? Well the polls don't end there!

Yes, here at Bite my Latte we've added an exciting new reader participation feature on the sidebar.

I think you'll agree, early results are most revealing.

UPDATE: Yes, a sweeping electoral rout for Lautem. Didn't even go to preferences.
Thanks for voting, all 4 of you who weren't me.

On to new forts! Avante!

Well, massive controversy at the polling station as someone other than me votes.

Unknown Chaporistas have launched their tilt!

The evidence so far is that this poll's more rigged than a Zimbabwean chook raffle.

My working assumption is that you've voted twice (once last night and then again this morning) for your declared favourite, then switched to a different computer to vote once for that no-hoper Chapora just to make it look interesting.

I like the way you think, Fyodor, but the truth is stranger than a Bulawayo by-election.

Naturally, I voted Lautem at home and work.

But I have to report that the third force assailing the Lautem seawall é desconhecido, Capitão.

I suspect the work of Dutch East India agents, or possibly French provocateurs operating out of Pondicherry.

Lefty,
I did a google search, pages in Australia, I'm feeling lucky for 'portuguese forts' and your blog didn't come up!!

How in hell am I meant to find this damned webpage? I feel like a Dominican friar unrolling blueprints at the future site of Lifau.
a) Isn't this meant to be easy?
b) Am I in the right place?

I'm glad you mentioned Lifau, Harry. I'm yet to get to the exclave myself, but I do think it's important for blogdom to keep across the more important PF 'n A sites. Not least the site of the 1515 Portuguese landing in Timor, as you so sagely note.

Of course, I needn't tell you that Fatusaba fort is in Oecusse town itself, slightly to the east of Lifau. But you will find a memorial in the old capital of Portuguese Timor. No doubt you've seen the archival hand maps of the Lifau fort too. Woo baby! I gotta get me some of that on my wall.

And so, Harry, for services to PF 'n A, you shall henceforth be known here as Dom Henrique, o Navegador.

Ate logo!

Wow, this feature is impressive. I didn't know Blogger had come so far. But then, I have some very serious updating of my own to do.

Was that the sound of a stuffed ballot I heard? I wondered about that unidentifiable muffled groaning noise from the NSW Labor conference where I spent my weekend. Apparently it was yours, not ours.
Hooray, by the way, for you for establishing yourself, from this late-arriver.

Gracias, Liamista.

Re: Iemma faction, might be time for the old 'Harare how-to-vote card'?

(aka: a big stick).

Thank fuck that's over. The tension was killing me.
